William R. Spencer

William R. Spencer, 63, formerly of Southington passed away unexpectedly in his home in Rye, New York on Thursday February 11, 2010.

He was born in Bristol on March 20, 1946 to Barbara (Hogan) Adams and the late Donald Spencer and will be remembered for his great sense of humor and as an avid Yankee fan. Everyone who met him loved him and he will be greatly missed.

William is survived by his fianc' Barbara Mettler of Rye New York; a daughter Christi Thomas and her husband Elano of Bristol CT; two sisters, Kathleen Porriello and her husband Al of Plantsville Conn.and Katherine Stewart of Tennessee; a granddaughter Carlee Thomas and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday February 15, 2010 at 12:00 at the Plantsville Funeral Home 975 S. Main St Plantsville CT 06479. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of William may be made to a charity of one's choice.
