William J. Nagle, 65, of Southington passed away unexpectedly on Friday Oct. 26, 2012. He was the loving husband and very best friend of Patricia (Roosa) Nagle for 28 years.
Born September 7, 1947, in Bristol to the late Paul and Doris (Barbier) Nagle Sr., he spent his early childhood in Plantsville and raised his family in Southington.
William served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked in Information Technology at The Hartford for 40 years where his knowledge was greatly respected by his peers (NAGLED**).
In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by his children: Jennie Nagle-Yndigoyen and her wife Rose of New York City; Michael Nagle of Boston; Sean Nagle of Boston; Amy Nagle of Southington; Thomas Nagle of Southington and his puppy Scotchie. He is also survived by his sister Kathleen Nagle; brother Dennis Nagle; brother Kevin Nagle and his wife Judy; brother Patric Nagle and his wife Frances and an Irish amount of nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Paul Nagle Jr. and his sister Barbara Nagle.
Bill's proudest legacy was his five wonderful children. He was constantly there - for plays and concerts; coaching on soccer fields, baseball fields and basketball courts; trips to Boston, UConn, Utah and Dayton to move children in and out of school. Whether it was Friday night hot dogs, Saturday morning breakfasts, cheering on the Giants, or the infamous casino trips, he was happiest when he was with his family. He hosted backyard barbecues where he served his famous sausage burgers as well as the annual legendary Nagle Christmas Party and Papa Nagle was loved by all.
