Wanda E. Laribee

Wanda Elizabeth (Cikatz) Laribee, 87, of Plantsville passed away peacefully on Sunday June 5, 2011 at Southington Care Center. She had been the beloved wife of the late Wesley D. Laribee for 60 years.

Born June 5, 1924 in Southington to the late Peter and Ann (Ostroski) Cikatz, she had been a lifelong Plantsville resident.

Wanda was a Southington High School graduate. She worked many years for the State of CT in DCYF and CT School for the Boys as an executive secretary, retiring in June of 1985.

Wanda leaves behind her 3 children: Stuart Laribee and his wife Susan of Middletown, Russell Laribee and his wife Karen of Deep River and Cynthia Corneliusson and her husband George of Rocky Hill; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Peter Cikatz.

A memorial service for Wanda will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at the First Lutheran Church, 232 Bristol St., Plantsville. Burial of ashes will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
