Vincent F. Miller

Vincent "Bill" F. Miller, 85, of Southington, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. He had been the loving husband of Phyllis (Laton) Miller for 59 years.

Born January 22, 1931 in Scranton, PA to the late William and Stella (Wisneski) Miller, he had been a longtime Southington resident.

Vincent proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War. He loved the New York Yankees, taking care of his yard and his cars. He also loved big band music.

In addition to his wife Phyllis, he is survived by his 4 children: Karen Hencken and her husband Fred of North Wales, PA; Chris Sokolowski and her husband Jim of Southington; Mark Miller and his wife Adriana of Trumbull; Lynn Atkins and her husband Bryan of Southington and 5 grandchildren: Fred, Allison, Samantha, Madison and Juliette. He is also survived by his sister Irene Norkin of Milford. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Miller and his granddaughter Kaitlyn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Plantsville. Full military honors will follow.
