Thomas C. Nedjoika, 81, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Southington Care Center. He had been the loving husband of Patricia J. (Galliher) Nedjoika for 61 years.

Born September 10, 1933 in Hartford to the late Charles and Bertha (Domin) Nedjoika, he had been a longtime Southington resident.

Thomas was a proud U. S. Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War Era. He worked as a supervisor and inspector for Pratt and Whitney, retiring after 30 years of service. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 72 and served as a former Sergeant of Arms. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a past member of the Machinist Union.

In addition to his wife Patricia, Thomas is survived by 7 children: Nancy Doolan (Raymond) of Windsor; Barbara Pintarich (Stephen) of Southington; Thomas Nedjoika Jr. (Maureen) of Plantsville; Shawn Nedjoika (Dianne) of Newington; Katherine Notation (William) of Wolcott; Michael Nedjoika (Kimmarie) of Southington and Maryann Borry (Michael) of Bristol; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Frances Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
