Thomas A. Curtis, 78, of Southington died Saturday, December 17, 2011, at HCC at New Britain General. He had been the loving husband of the late Florence Flossie N. Curtis for 50 years.
Born in New Haven on April 21, 1933 to the late Raymond and Betty (Dunn) Curtis, he had lived in Southington for many years.
Before his retirement, he worked as a Car Salesman and a Blackjack Dealer at Mohegan Sun. He was an avid Yankee Fan and will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all those who knew and loved him.
Thomas is survived by his 2 daughters and their husbands; Linda and Patrick Musshorn and Tammy and Daniel Balch, all of Southington; 8 grandchildren: Samantha Balch, Daniel Balch Jr, Jillian and Shaun Thorpe, Tayton, Pamela and Thurman Musshorn and Elizabeth Manning; and 6 great-grandchildren: Colton Thorpe, Analeigh Thorpe, Emerson Thorpe, Rori Joan Musshorn, Zaphyr Musshorn and Jaxson Musshorn; 3 brothers: Raymond Curtis, Peter Curtis, Michael Curtis and his sister Patricia Mueller and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother Gerald Curtis.
A celebration of Thomas's life will be held on Thursday December 29, 2011 from 4 to 6:30pm at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville, CT.
