Theda J. Crookes

Theda Jane (Wiltsie) Crookes, 84, of Southington, died peacefully with her husband Vincent, son David and daughter-in-law Marceille by her side on Sunday February 19, 2012 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford.

Born in Meriden on May 27, 1927 to the late Stuart and Bertha (Bemiss) Wiltsie, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Theda met Vinny in 1942 and had been his loving wife for 64 years. She was a devoted wife and mother and had a passion for her flower garden.

In addition to her husband Vincent Crookes, she is survived by her son David Crookes of Southington, her son Robert Crookes and his gracious wife Marceille and her daughter Susan Crookes, all of Southington; and 3 grandsons: Trevor Crookes of Bristol, Chad Crookes of Bristol and Joseph Mushrall of Southington.
