Thea (Foley) Ricci, 64, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. She had been the loving wife of Roderick Ricci for 29 years and the proud mother of Taryn Ricci.
Born March 19, 1951 in Waterbury to Elsie (Beck) Foley and the late James Foley, she had been a longtime Southington resident.
Thea taught in the Waterbury School system for over 40 years before retiring in 2013. She was an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Southington and loved sewing and crafting.
In addition to her husband Rod, daughter Taryn and mother Elsie, she is survived by sister Kristy Ejzak and her husband Bruce of Barkhamsted, 8 nieces and nephews and 3 cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 10:00 funeral service at the First Lutheran Church, 232 Bristol St., Southington. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
