Susan E. Zajac, 77, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Apple Rehab Farmington Valley in Plainville.
Born on September 20, 1947 in Southington to the late Joseph “Lefty” and Helen (Putala) Zajac, she had been a lifelong Southington resident.
Susan graduated from Southington High School and then attended the former Laurel Business School. She worked most of her career as a bookkeeper for several convalescent facilities in central Connecticut.
Susan was a lifelong active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Southington where she served as a eucharistic minister, delivering communion to local nursing homes. Susan served many years as an officer for the Holy Rosary Society at Immaculate Conception and the St. Rita’s chapters of the Daughters of Isabella. She also served as a counselor for the Stephen Ministry and was a lifetime member of the Polish Falcons of America.
She is survived by her brother, Ron Zajac, three nephews, Chris Zajac, Ben Zajac (Elizabeth) and Andrew Zajac (Carly) and her godson, Brian MacDonald.
Susan’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Apple Rehab Farmington Valley for their kindness and patience during Susan’s stay there.
