Stella A. Zajac

Stella A. Zajac, 79, of Southington, passed away peacefully in Branford Hospice on Friday, May 21, 2010. She was born in Southington, April 27, 1931 to the late Matthew and Anna (Uliasz) Zajac and had been a lifelong Southington resident.

She was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity National Catholic Church in Southington and a former treasurer for the Adoration Society of the Most Blessed Sacrament of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 72.

Before her retirement, she worked for 59 years as a legal secretary for the law firm of Elliot and Stanek in Southington.

She is survived by her brother Walter 'Archie' Zajac, her sister Helen Locks and her husband Ray, her niece Susan M. Locks, all of Southington, and her special cousins, the Albrycht family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday May, 25, 2010 at 9am from the Plantsville Funeral Home, the funeral cortege will leave at 9:45am and Mass will follow at 10am at the Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, 200 Summer St. Plantsville. Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held on Monday May 24, 2010 from 4pm to 7pm at Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St. Plantsville, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stella's memory may be made to the Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, 200 Summer St. Plantsville 06479.
