Stanley J. Staniewicz, Jr.

Stanley J. Staniewicz, Jr., 81, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband to the late Sandra L. (Heanssler) Staniewicz for 56 years.

Stanley was born on December 23, 1941 in Meriden, CT to the late Stanley and Mary (Kowalski) Staniewicz. Stan lived in Norwalk until he was 8, before moving to the Milldale section of Southington becoming a lifelong resident.

Stan worked as an Aerospace engineer for Pratt and Whitney for many years. He was a master of all trades with the ability to fix anything. He enjoyed working on cars, bowling, and international traveling.  

Stan is survived by two children: son, Michael Staniewicz of Southington and daughter, Catherine M. Rivera of Southington, granddaughter Savanna Lee Rivera and her husband Naythan of Bristol. In addition to his wife Sandra, Stan was predeceased by a brother Robert Staniewicz and his granddaughter Breanna Rivera.
