Stanley Edward Raczka Jr.,79, of Southington, CT passed away on May 26, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. Born on March 14, 1933 and raised in New Britain, he was the son of the late Stanley Edward Raczka Sr. and Helen (Prestash) Raczka. Stanley attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from New Britain High School. He was a veteran who served in the United States Army as an MP. Before retiring, Stanley worked as a Tool and Die Designer for Tuttle and Bailey and the Wiremold Company. Stan was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed watching the UCONN men's and women's basketball teams, as well as all of his grandchildren's sporting events.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Adela (Kowalczyk) Raczka and his four children: Susan Raczka of Southington, Michael Raczka of Southington, Nancy Sullivan and her husband Timothy of Plainville, and Diane Malloy and her husband Kevin of Tolland. He also leaves his eight grandchildren: Tara, Christian, Mitchell, Timothy, Kyle, Madison, Connor, and Mackenzie. Stan is survived by his brother William Raczka and his wife Jean of Southington, a sister Joan Lorencz of Montrose, MI and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Lisa (Niland) Raczka.
His family would like to thank all those who cared for him especially those at Fresenius Medical Care.
