Shirley J. (Skinner) Clark, 91, of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 10, 2022, at her home. She had been the loving wife and dance partner of the late Wesley I. Clark for 61 years.
Shirley was born on January 26, 1931 in New Britain, CT to the late Francis and Victoria (Acorn) Skinner. She worked as a sales assistant at Oxley’s Drug Store in Southington for many years, a role she enjoyed very much.
Shirley loved taking walks, reading and vacationing in Vermont. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings and was happiest when her home was filled with her children and grandchildren. Shirley prayed deeply for everyone, especially her family and friends. She will be remembered for her strong faith and always giving glory to God.
Shirley’s family was truly her pride and joy. She is survived by three daughters: Sandra Frazier, June Rossini and her husband Tom, Sheila Oropallo and her husband Tony, and her daughter-in-law Cathy Clark all of Southington, as well as 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, a brother, James Skinner of Clinton and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Shirley was predeceased by her son, Wesley Clark Jr. and two sons-in-law, Jack Kastner and Raymond Frazier.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dominic’s Church, 1050 Flanders Rd, Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
