Rose H. Aszklar, 97, of Southington, formerly of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Cheshire Regional Rehab Center. She had been the loving wife of the late Henry P. Aszklar for 68 years.
Rose was born on Sept. 17, 1919 in Buffalo, NY to the late Michael and Sophie (Taras) Halota and had been a longtime resident of Southington and Cheshire.
Rose and Henry were antique dealers for 38 years, participating in shows and flea markets in New York and Connecticut.
She is survived by her son, Henry M. Aszklar of Southington and daughter, Christina Fishbein and her husband Norman of Wallingford and four grandchildren: Atty: Craig Fishbein, Christopher Fishbein, Jennifer Fishbein and Mark J. Fishbein. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, her sister Mary Nadolski of Buffalo, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and several sisters.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, people honor Rose's memory with an act of kindness.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, South End Rd., Southington. Calling hours will be held before the service from 9 - 10 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
