Ronald R. VanNesse

Ronald R. VanNesse, 82, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2022 at HOCC in New Britain. He had been the loving husband and best friend of Karen (Brunoli) VanNesse for nearly 50 years. 

Born on October 20, 1940 in Bristol to the late Edward and Emma (Miller) VanNesse, he had been a lifelong Southington resident. 

Ronald proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War. Together they owned and operated VanNesse Construction, K & R Trucking Inc. and Ron’s Family Fuel until retirement in 2019.  Ron loved boating , cruises and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife Karen, Ron is survived by his son Rodney R. VanNesse of Orlando, FL, 2 sisters, Beverly Roberge and Carol Welch, both of Bristol and 2 brothers, Richard VanNess of Morris, CT and Edward VanNesse and Tony Carlo of Provincetown, MA and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his sister, Dolores VanNess.
