Ronald E. Squatriglia

Ronald E. Squatriglia, 83, of Southington, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Bristol Hospital. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Marie “Honey” Squatriglia for 50 years.

Ronald was born in Waterbury on February 8, 1940, to the late Edward and Mary Josephine (Lestorti) Squatriglia. He graduated from Crosby High School, Class of 1958 and was a longtime Southington resident. Ron worked in his family’s business as a kitchen and bath salesman for most of his life. Ron was an avid sports enthusiast and loved watching the New York Giants, New York Yankees and UCONN Women’s Basketball.

He is survived by his son, Joseph R. Squatriglia and wife Kelly of Greenwich, CT and 2 daughters, Jacqueline Squatriglia of Manhattan, NY and Shelly Klau and husband Ira of Charleston, SC, two grandchildren, Samuel and Sidney Klau and his beloved four- legged companion, Eli. Ron is also survived by his brother, Charles Squatriglia and wife Joan of Waterbury, his sister, Patricia Pfurr and husband Richard of Cheshire and many nieces and nephews.
