Rocco Antonio Lapenta, 79, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Water’s Edge Center for Health and Rehab in Middletown. He had been the loving husband of Pamela (Daly) Lapenta for 54 years.

He had a lengthy career in Human Resources working at Hartford National Bank, Hartford Insurance Group and retired from Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Rocco enjoyed reading and was a history buff. He was a fisherman and loved teaching his grandchildren how to fish. He spent many years sailing and camping with his family along the CT/RI shore. Rocco will also be remembered for his storytelling, quick wit, and love of a good Italian meal.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Peter Daly.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jarrod Post, Sara Jarrett-APRN, the second-floor staff at Water’s Edge, and the Masonicare Hospice team for the care and compassion they showed Rocco for the last two years and half years.
