Robert J. Gray

Robert J. Gray, 84, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at The Summit of Plantsville. He had been the loving husband of Delphine (Krom) Gray for 64 years.

Born in Barre, VT on February 23, 1931 to the late Charles and Rosabella (Shannon) Gray, he had been a longtime Southington resident.

Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from New Departure after 20 years of service, where he worked as a tool and die maker. Bob was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Southington for over 50 years and was a longtime active member of the Lion's Club.

In addition to his wife Delphine, Robert is survived by his son Robert J. Gray Jr. and his wife Susan of Bristol, his son Charles Gray of Southington and 5 grandchildren: Todd, Melissa, April, Jennel, and Connor, 2 great-granddaughters, Miranda and Maria and his brother, William Gray of Glendale, AZ.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 145 Main St., Southington, CT. Burial will follow in the church's memorial garden.
