Richard J. Glowasky

Richard J. Glowasky, 66, of the Marion section of Southington passed away on Wednesday August 31, 2011 at HCC at Bradley Memorial. He was the husband of his beloved wife Patricia (Burke) Glowasky.

Born July 23, 1945 in Waterbury to the late Andrew and Susan (Shia) Glowasky, he had been a longtime Southington resident.

Richard worked as a machinist at Pratt and Whitney for many years and he loved motorcycles, golfing and the New York Yankees.

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by his 3 sons: Richard Glowasky of Bristol, Scott Czajkowski of Oakville, Michael Glowasky of Marion, one daughter, Michelle Glowasky of Marion; one brother Paul Glowasky of Plantsville, and 4 sisters: Anne Kalinowski of Wolcott, Ruth Kuzara of Southington, Dorothy Glowasky of Plantsville and Jane Glowasky of Plantsville, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John Glowasky and sister, Ethel Fortier.

Funeral services will be held on Friday September 2, 2011 at 9:30am from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville, with a Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held on Thursday (TODAY) September 1, 2011 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
