Richard "Rick" P. Bernaiche, 61, of Southington, passed away on June 27, 2014 after a long illness.
Rick was born August 4, 1952 in Southington, son of the late Elsie and Larry Anctil, and to his late father, Richard Bernaiche. Rick was employed by Yankee Gas in Meriden for many years. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching his beloved Red Sox, NY Giants, and Huskies. He made the world's absolute, unrivaled, best pizza and was making his renowned pies with pride until his final days. He enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire to visit family, especially when a healthy wedge was maintained on interstate highways while adhering to posted speed limits. He cherished moments spent with his brothers, and his grandson Caleb, on lush golf greens. His fondest memories were spent in the company of his family and their annual reunion in October.
Rick leaves behind his 6 beloved children; Marianne, Benjamin, Lauren, Valerie, Justin, and Jill; 4 grandchildren, who he loved with all his heart; Jared, Maia, Charlie, and Caleb; 6 brothers and sisters; Reginald, Gene, Arlene, Sheryl, Joseph, and Normand; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Thomas.
