Priscilla was a 1958 graduate of Brunswick HS in Maine where she was voted most athletic girl her senior year, a pioneer in playing 5 on 5 girls basketball in grammar school in the early 1950s. She was a lifelong fan of almost any sport, especially basketball and the UCONN women’s basketball program. She was an avid reader, an accomplished bowler and ceramics artist and a dedicated religious education instructor. Priscilla ran a home-cleaning business with her dear friend Cindy Wagner for 32 years. “Peep” dedicated her life to her family, friends and neighbors - sewing and gifting over 200 “Huggies” - homemade blankets that matched the likes and personalities of each individual. She loved animals and was a devoted supporter of numerous children’s charities and faith-based ministries. She will be remembered as the fun aunt and neighborhood mom and as a gifted storyteller - she absolutely loved to laugh, most especially at her husband Chuck’s jokes, no matter how many times she heard them.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Priscilla’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, (https://www.stjude.org/) a charity dear to her heart, as they provided medicine for her daughter Lynn when she battled cancer at five years old.
She also asked that donations be made to Bread for Life in Southington (https://southingtonbreadforlife.org/). Non-Perishable food items may be brought to calling hours and will be collected and delivered to this wonderful organization.
