Phyllis R. (Washburn) Paradis, 82, of Southington, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at UCONN Health Center in Farmington. She had been the loving wife of Jean L. Paradis for nearly 62 years.
Born on July 16, 1933 in Ellisburg, NY to the late Charles and Myrtle (Miller) Washburn, she had been a longtime Southington resident.
Phyllis was a retired registered nurse, having graduated from the House of the Good Samaritan, School of Nursing in Watertown, NY. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas Church and was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her husband Jean, she is survived by three daughters: Lynn Rozanski of Southington; Desiree Gorske and her husband Robert of Plainville; Lee A. Blanchette and her husband Joseph of Farmington; 6 grandchildren: Kristen Cassile, Jessica Allen, Dana King, Matthew and Michael Gorske and Kayla Rozanski and 4 great-grandchildren: Brittnee Beebe, Kyle Graveline, Hunter and Emily Allen; her sister Myrtle Cooley and brother-in-law Kenneth Cooley of Lacona, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.
