During Connecticut’s Great Flood of 1955 he volunteered in the Army Corps of Engineers. He dedicated 10 years of his life to serve as a Passionist brother. Philip was a devoted member of St. Peter and Paul Church, Waterbury, serving as Lector and Eucharistic Minister and in later years was equally devoted to St. Dominic Church, Southington. Philip and Nancy enjoyed many years of travel to Europe, Ireland, England, Caribbean Islands, and Western U.S. After retirement they spent 15 wonderful winter vacations in Siesta Keys, FL.
