Pearl R. (Mahoney) Bennett, 97, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Summit at Plantsville.
Born on October 31, 1923 in Broad Brook, CT to the late Francis J. and Louise (Helm) Mahoney, she had been a longtime Southington resident.
Pearl worked in the office at DePaolo Middle School and retired from The Travelers Insurance Company. She loved to cook and prepare holiday and Sunday dinners for her family. Pearl loved camping in Maine and reading. She was active in the Calendar House and was an avid Red Sox and UCONN Women’s Basketball fan. Most of all, Pearl was a loving and devoted mother.
She is survived by two daughters, Alison Lopatosky and her husband Jan of Southington and Sally Dee and her husband Tom of Bristol and one grandson, Daniel Lopatosky and his wife Kirstie of Plantsville. She is also survived by her nephew, Jay Mahoney of Broad Brook and her niece, Jan Riggot of Stafford Springs. She was predeceased by her sister Frances Wells, her brother John Mahoney and her sister-in-law, Jane Mahoney.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Walk-through calling hours will be held before the service from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
