Pauline M. Casner

Pauline "Mimi" M. (Bassola) Casner, 83, of Southington, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. She had been the loving wife of the late James E. Casner for 51 years.

Born on January 5, 1933 in Southington to the late Louis and Natalie (Cooney) Bassola, she had been a lifelong Southington resident.

Pauline enjoyed spending her winters in West Palm Beach, FL, playing cards with her friends and going to Music on the Green. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and loving family.

Pauline is survived by her son Ronald Casner and his wife Sandra of Houston, TX and two daughters; Pamela Casner of Plantsville and Luanne Borawski and her husband Paul of Southington; ten grandchildren: Amy, Christopher and Michael Casner; Timothy and Kerry Young; Jennifer Young and Allyan Lopes; James Michanczyk and Ailed Menendez; Ashley and Robert Yelenak; PJ and Kyle Borawski and Ryan and Ashley Borawski; 6 great-grandchildren: Delilah, Gianna, Anthony, Lyra, Shawn and Jessica. She is also survived by her longtime friend and companion, Julius Zamal of Enfield and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Gloria Cox.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
