Paul E. Lemieux, 72, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at CT Hospice in Branford. He had been the loving husband and best friend of Carol (Sabatino) Lemieux for over 40 years.

Paul was born in Waterbury on November 23, 1949 to the late Ernest and Mary (Churchelow) Lemieux. After high school, he attended college for engineering. Paul then worked alongside his father as a carpenter at Diamond Lumber and J.E. Smith, eventually retiring from Lyon & Billard Lumber Co. in Meriden. Paul loved muscle cars, clocks, Old Western movies, and vacations to the beach. He could fix almost anything and was affectionately known to his family as “MacGyver.”

In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by 2 sons, Christopher J. Fiorillo of Plantsville, and Albert T. Fiorillo of Bristol and 2 grandchildren, Ryan and Alivia Fiorillo. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Nancy Lemieux of VT and Michelle Lemieux of Bristol, a nephew, Lawrence Lemieux and his niece, Lily Belle Metzler.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
