Norma M. Andersen, 89, longtime Norwalk resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Stafford Springs. Norma was born on May 17, 1932 in Queens, NY to the late Ritlew and Ida (Halfman) Andersen.
Norma was an avid gardener, a voracious reader, and was excellent at painting and other crafts. She will be remembered for her generous and social nature.
Norma is survived by her three children; Mark Tuccillo and his wife Catherine of Southington, James Tuccillo and his wife Nancy of The Villages, FL, and daughter, Mary Ellen Tuccillo of Watertown, MA; her granddaughter, Jenna Stockwell and her husband Todd of Burlington and 2 great-grandchildren, Carley and Caleb. She is also survived by her sister, Theodora Carley of E. Northport, LI and many nieces and nephews. Norma was predeceased by her granddaughter, Alana Tuccillo Lehr and her sister, Mary Nagler.
In lieu of flowers, donations for Norma may be made to the ACT for Alana Memorial Scholarship Fund, 49 Canterbury Lane, Southington, CT 06489, in memory of her granddaughter Alana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St, Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Face Coverings are REQUIRED at all times.
