Nathalie Christine Norrie, 86, of Southington passed away on September 15, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born April 11, 1925 the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Czarnecki, she had been a longtime Southington resident.
Nathalie lived in Meriden for many years before moving to Southington where she raised her family. She was a graduate of St. Stanislaus School, Meriden High School, and Grace New Haven School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for over 42 years. She was registered nurse and nursing supervisor at the former World War II Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Meriden where proudly wore her white dress uniform and nursing cap throughout her entire career. Nathalie will be remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother. She was a very kind and comforting person with a great sense of humor. She could never say a bad word about anyone.
She is survived by her husband Robert H. Norrie of Southington, her daughters MaryBeth Rasmus and Jane E. Norrie, both of Southington; her granddaughters Jennifer Lorah and Catherine Rasmus; her great-grandsons, Jaden and Shane; her brother Jonathan Czar and his wife Ruth of Poultney, VT; her special niece, Janice Hancock who was always so thoughtful and generous, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Henry Czarnecki and his wife Patricia and Joseph Czarnecki, her sisters: Helen Pepe and her husband Anthony, Estelle Hancock and her husband William and her niece Pam O'Leary.
