Nancy C. (Surprenant) Landino, 80, of Southington, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 28, 2020. She had been the beloved wife of Dr. Richard Landino for 49 years.

Nancy was born on October 27, 1940 in Oxford, MA to the late Louis and Rose (Germaine) Surprenant. After raising her family and beating breast cancer at 40, she launched the next chapter of her life opening the Women’s Center at Bradley Memorial Hospital. Nancy continued working as a nurse at a number of local nursing homes facilitating the last chapter of many lives. Nancy finished her career at the Waterbury YMCA. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, willingness to help others, traveling adventures and love for her many four legged friends.

In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her son Anthony J. Landino and his wife Christine of West Hartford and her daughter, Nicola O’Rourke and her husband James O’Rourke of Southington and 3 cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Joseph and Jameson. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Francis and her husband Ken O’Connel of Conway, South Carolina. Nancy will be sorely missed by her sister-in-law Jacqueline Catania and her husband Ronnie, brother-in-law Robert Landino and his wife Eileen and sister-in-law Rosemary Hofmiller and her husband Robert. She was a loving aunt to her nieces, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jacqueline and Lindsay and nephews, Dino, Mark, Corey and David. She was predeceased by her sister Suzanne Goddard and nephew, Michael Landino.

Due to the health concerns surrounding COVID-19, funeral services and a celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.plantsvillefuneralhome.com.
