Melvin Thibodeau, 67, of Yalesville, died Wednesday January 12, 2011 at Mid-State Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Judy (Hoch) Thibodeau for 42 years.
Born on July 9, 1943 in Jackman, Maine to the late Phillip B. and Aurore (Ouellette) Thibodeau, he had been a long time Yalesville resident.
Melvin worked as a chief lineman for the Wallingford Electric Division, retiring in 2009 after 32 years.
In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by 5 brothers: Roland, Mickey, Maynard , Roger and Allan Thibodeau and 3 sisters: Gloria Mae Page, Nancy Conley, Sharon Haulk and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his little buddy, Mindy, the min-pin, who was Melvin's constant companion.
He was predeceased by his sister Linda Thibodeau.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 17, 2011 at 9:00am from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Bridget's Church in Cheshire. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held on Sunday January 16, 2011 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
