Megan E. Carlson, 20, of Southington, passed away at her home on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015. She was born April 6, 1994 in New Britain, the loving daughter of William and Kathleen (Maguire) Carlson.
Megan was a Southington High School graduate, Class of 2012. She was a student at Tunxis Community College and worked in the family business. Megan started every day with an iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts while listening to her country music. She loved gymnastics, snowmobiling, snowboarding, dirt biking and spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered for her bright smile and her love for helping others.
In addition to her parents, Megan is survived by her 2 brothers, Ryan Carlson of Berlin and Matthew Carlson of Southington; her maternal grandmother, Marion Parsell, her great-grandmother, Marion Porter, both of Plantsville; uncle James Maguire (Donna) of Plantsville; uncle Clifford Carlson (Carol) of Clinton; aunt Suzanne Carlson-Ciofalo of Guilford; aunt Sharon Carlson (Kathryn Jerling) of Cheshire; maternal great-aunt, Patricia Stone of Plantsville, many cousins and her 2 special cats, Joey and Peanut. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, William and Marylou Carlson, her uncle Michael Carlson, her maternal great-grandfather, Francis Porter and her maternal grandfather, Blaine Parsell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held from 4 -8 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
