Mary Michaud

Mary “Mariatella” (Ingriselli) Michaud, 95, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2023 at the Summit of Plantsville. She had been the loving and devoted wife of the late Rosaire Michaud for 42 years.

Mary was born on January 7, 1928 in Castel Campagnano, Italy to the late Giovanni and Giusepina (Marocco) Ingriselli. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1947. Mary centered her life around faith and family. She enjoyed being outside, especially tending to her gardens. She loved cooking for her family and looked forward to hosting holidays in her home. She also enjoyed playing cards with her brother, sister-in-law, and friends.

Mary is survived by 3 children, Dennis Michaud and wife Kimberly, Lee-Ann Fitzsimons and husband James and Marisa Cyr and husband Mark, all of Plantsville. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Rosaire, Mary was predeceased by 2 brothers, Domenico and Tomasso Ingriselli, sister Giovanna LaPorta, sisters-in-law, Rosa (wife of Domenico), Franca (wife of Tomasso) and brother-in-law, Nicole (husband of Giovanna).

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
