Mary M. (Rynne) McEntee, 88, of Southington passed away peacefully on Friday July 26, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late James J. McEntee Jr. for 37 years.

Born May 6, 1925 in Cambridge, MA to the late Michael and Bridget (Guerin) Rynne, she had been a Southington resident for 57 years.

Mrs. McEntee was a founding parishioner of St. Aloysius Church and volunteered many hours at HCC at Bradley Memorial. She was a member of the 2012 championship bocce team at Spring Lake Village.

Mary is survived by her daughter Judith Lewkewich and husband John of Plantsville, CT; her son James J. McEntee III and his wife Linda of Swarthmore, PA; and five grandchildren: Keleen, Joshua, James, Richard and Jillian. She also leaves behind two sisters, Elizabeth Whyte of Sebastipol, CA and Rita Murray of Mashpee, MA, and her sister-in-law Dorothy Mahan of Whippany, NJ. She was predeceased by 6 siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 30, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St. Plantsville, with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St. Plantsville. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held on Monday July 29, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home.
