Mary A. Marciniec, 95, of Southington died peacefully on Tuesday January 24, 2012 at the Highlands Health Care Center in Cheshire.
Born in Southington on October 27, 1916, to the late Andrew and Amalia (Skrobot) Marciniec, she had been a lifelong Southington resident.
Mary retired after serving many years as the Assistant Town Clerk for the town of Southington. She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Church, the Holy Rosary Society and the Polish Falcons Nest 307. She loved being at her home and spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her sister-in-law Irene Bombaci of Essex, CT; nephew Robert Marciniec and his wife Mary of Plainfield, CT; niece Mary Hackbarth of Litchfield, CT; nephew Stanley Marciniec Jr. and his wife Linda of Essex, CT; niece Nancy Ebler and her husband Joseph of Watchung, NJ; nephew Andrew Marciniec and his wife Katrina of Essex, CT; niece Janet Marciniec her husband Philip LoBianco of Hebron, CT and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond and Stanley Marciniec and her sister Stephanie Dziedzic.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday January 27, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held before the Mass from 9:30-10:30 a. m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
