Mary Tomasiewicz Malinowski, 90, of Southington died suddenly on Thursday, April 8, 2010. She was the loving wife of the late Stanley Malinowski. Born January 17, 1920 in Southington, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marianna (Mizia) Tomasiewicz.
She was the treasured mother and mother-in-law of Stanley and Debra Malinowski of Southington, Margaret and Peter Anderson of Marion, Marceille and Robert Crookes of Plantsville, and William J. and Eileen Chmura of Southington and grandmother of William B. Chmura, Nathan Chmura, Jared Anderson, and Erin Rhindress. She was blessed with great grandchildren Haley and David Chmura, and Morgan and Gavin Rhindress. Also surviving are devoted brothers John Tomasiewicz of Weston, Michael Tomasiewicz of Harwinton, and Edward Tomasiewicz of Glastonbury, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Mary 'Cook' Chmura, grand-daughter Baby Elizabeth Grace Malinowski, and brothers Chester, Anthony, and Frank.
She was a lifelong communicant of The Immaculate Conception Church, a member of the Rosary Society, Calendar House, and past President of The Lady Falcons.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Plantsville, CT. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours are Sunday April 11th from 2-5 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
