Mary A. Lichtenberg, 77, of Southington passed away peacefully at her home on Monday Oct. 1, 2012.
Born on January 24, 1935 in New Britain to the late John Lichtenberg and Helen (Zachaczewski) Milewski, she had been a longtime Southington resident.
Mary was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church in Southington for many years. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, beginning her career at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA and retiring from Bradley Memorial Hospital. Mary loved quilting, gardening and was an avid world traveler. She contributed to many charities and will be remembered for her giving nature and helping hand.
Mary is survived by her sister Jane Nichols of Southington, two nieces Susan Williams of Maryland and Sharon Nichols of Fairfield and her nephew David Nichols and his wife Alicia of Southington and 2 grand- nephews, Tyler Nichols and Zachary Nichols. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Milewski Jr..

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday October 3, 2012 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday Oct. 4, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington.
