Mary C. Bittner

Mary C. (Ciccomascolo) Bittner, 85, of Southington passed away peacefully on Saturday August 10, 2013. She had been the loving wife of the late Joseph Bittner Jr. for 52 years.

Born Oct. 10, 1927 in Williamsport, PA to the late Giuseppe and Pasqualina (Brevetti) Ciccomascolo, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Mary graduated from Quinnipiac College and worked as a registered nurse at Hartford and Bristol Hospitals for many years. She was a longtime parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church.

She is survived by her son Mark Bittner and his wife Gayle; two grandchildren, Eric and Jenna, all of California; siblings Joseph and Tony Ciccomascolo and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister Lucy (Ciccomascolo) Zebrakas and brothers Thomas and Ralph.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 16, 2013 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
