Mary Ellen (Frazier) Aszklar

Mary Ellen (Frazier) Aszklar, 84, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. She had been the loving wife of the late William C. Aszklar for 40 years.

Born March 2, 1930 in Twin Bridges, Montana to the late George Jordan and Bertha Magdalena (Wudel) Frazier, she had been a longtime Wolcott resident.

Mary Ellen was a longtime parishioner of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterbury. She retired from Howland-Hughes after many years of service. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary Ellen is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Fasulo and her husband Darryl of Southington, 4 grandchildren: Meghan Burns and her husband Ed of Orange; Stephanie Michaud and her husband Rich of Canton; David Fasulo and Paige Masse of Bristol and Nicole Fasulo and Pedro Santiago of East Hartford; 2 great-grandchildren: Liliana and Adriana; her brother, Loran Frazier and his wife Marilyn and her sister, Sandra Pfau and her husband Ronald, all of Montana; her daughter-in-law Mary Aszklar of Wolcott and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son William A. Aszklar.

In lieu of flowers, donation in Mary Ellen's memory may be made to the William Aszklar Scholarship Fund, Immanuel Lutheran School, 152 Meadow St., Bristol, CT 06010.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 12, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 503 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Burial will follow in Wonx Spring Cemetery, Plantsville. Calling hours will be held before the service from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
