Mark H. Anair, 68, Newington, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the HOCC at New Britain after a long battle with cancer.
Mark was born on March 7, 1957 in Springfield, MA to the late Paul and Elinor (Chisholm) Anair. He graduated from S. Hadley High School, Class of 1975 and went to Northfield Mount Hermon Preparatory School. Mark attended Northeastern University for one year before transferring to Boston University where he was a member of the Varsity Crew Team. Mark played hockey in his younger years and established himself as a mentor, coach and trainer to many young players over the years. He shared his passion for hockey with his son and has always been Victor’s biggest fan.
Mark is survived by his son, Victor H. Czerneckianair of Southington and one brother, Michael Anair and his husband Timothy Haynes of Halcottsville, NY and his best friend, Ed Larrow of Pomfret, CT. He also leaves behind a loving extended family and many friends in the hockey community.
