Marie "Honey" Squatriglia, 71, of the Plantsville section of Southington passed away Thursday April 4, 2013 in Southington. She was the loving wife of Ronald Squatriglia for 50 years.
Honey was born in Waterbury on December 19, 1941 and was a longtime Plantsville resident. Her newspaper column, "About Town" was a favorite of weekly Observer readers and her love for the Arts was well known by all. "Hooray for Hollywood" was Honey's signature!
In addition to her husband Ronald, she is survived by her son Joseph Squatriglia and his wife Kelly of Hilton Head, S.C.; two daughters Jacqueline Squatriglia and her fiancé© Chris Barnes of Manhattan,NY and Shelly Klau and her husband Ira of Southington; two brothers, Wayne and Richard Chance and two grandchildren, Samuel and Sidney Klau.
A funeral service will be held on Monday April 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
