Margaret C. Paradis

Margaret C. (Thibodeau) Paradis, 90, of Southington passed away February 6, 2012 at the HCC at New Britain. She was the wife of the late Herbert A. Paradis.

Born Feb. 3, 1922 in St. Francis, Maine to the late Docite and Matilda (Pelletier) Thibodeau, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Margaret was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, singing and playing several instruments. She was passionate about her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her 4 children: 2 sons Alan Paradis and his wife Elaine and Gary Paradis; 2 daughters Carol Silva and her husband Louie Martinez Silva, all of Southington and Patricia Paradise of Middletown; 2 sisters Mary Charette of Ft. Kent, Maine and Velma Nadeau of St. Francis, Maine and her late husband's only surviving sister Beatrice Savage of Southington; 6 grandchildren: Alan and Joseph Paradis, Robert and Keith Blanchette, Ryan and Kacie Clynes, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Maurice and Elmer Thibodeau and 2 sisters Melinda Blier and Frances Caron Roy. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 9am from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville on Wednesday February 8, 2012 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St.,Southington. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Southington.
