Madeline M. Zukowski

Madeline M. (Nicoletti) Zukowski, 83, of the Plantsville section of Southington died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday March 26, 2013. She was the loving wife of Henry J. Zukowski for 56 years.

Born May 8, 1929 in Bristol to the late Constantino and Mary (Cavalier) Nicoletti, she had been a longtime Plantsville resident.

In addition to her husband Henry, she is survived by her daughter Kathy Pope and her husband Syd of Alexandria, VA; her son David Zukowski and his wife Kellie of Terryville and 5 grandchildren: Joe and Jess Pope and Melanie, Mason and Keegan Zukowski. She also leaves behind her sisters Patty Marseglia of Bristol, CT and Claire Beaudoin of Escondito, CA, numerous nieces and nephews and very close friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Francis Nicoletti and her sister Maryann Mazzone.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeline's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday March 30, 2013 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Burial will follow in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown.
