Lorraine Drazba Krusienski

Lorraine Drazba Krusienski, of Naugatuck, CT passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024 at Griffin Hospital a few days after celebrating her 79th birthday. She was born on October 28, 1945 to the late Peter and Leona (Shipkowski) Drazba. 

Lorraine was a life-long educator, spending her career as an English teacher and Curriculum Director for Hamden Public Schools and later as a professor at Post University. She was an avid quilter, often gifting and donating her beautiful work for worthy causes. She enjoyed traveling to quilt shows and could tell you every fabric store from Vermont to Pennsylvania. Lorraine had a passion for French Country style and eclectic home decor and often joked that an outfit was not complete without a little fur from one of her treasured kitties. She was the ultimate entertainer for the holidays, making sure that every room in the house had a Christmas tree. Above all, she enjoyed long conversations, frequently accompanied by a nice glass of scotch. 

Lorraine is survived by her devoted husband, Very Reverend Joseph Krusienski; his son, Jacob Krusienski, and his wife, Melissa; his daughter, Lisa Berliner, and her husband, Nicholas; and her adored grandchildren, Kyrah and Brynleigh Krusienski and Luke and Zachary Berliner. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins, close friends, and her cherished cats, Tiger and Abby.

Family and friends are invited to honor Lorraine’s life at a funeral service on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church. Please meet directly at the church. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville.
