Lois Ann (Penta) Bator, 73, of Southington, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, May 16, 2014 after a brief illness. For 45 years, she had been the loving wife and best friend of the late Stanley Bator and will finally be joined with him in Heaven.
Born on November 6, 1940 in New Britain, CT to the late Louis and Adeline (Winowski) Penta, Lois had been a longtime Southington resident and a communicant of St. Dominic's Church.
After working all of her life in hospital billing departments, Lois retired in 2010 and enjoyed her days spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who always kept her busy and filled her days with smiles. Lois also enjoyed trips to the UCONN Women and CT Sun basketball games with her sister. She also enjoyed volunteering her mornings at Bradley Memorial Hospital, where she made many friends.
A loving mother and grandmother, Lois will be dearly missed by her daughters, Cheryl Bator- Lavertu and her husband Wayne of Southington with whom she made her home and Karen Bator-Blanchet and her husband Michael of Vernon; 4 grandchildren: Nathan and Benjamin Lavertu and Alexander and Emma Blanchet. She also leaves behind her sister Lori Penta of Southington, her brother Louis Penta and his wife Sandy of FL, her sister-in-law Irene Kedzior of New Britain and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Alan Bator and her sister Eileen Emonds.
