Kendall Marie Lord, age 7, of Southington, gained her angel wings, on Friday, November 11, 2022 after a long, 3 year, fearless battle with Wilms’ Tumor.
Kendall was born on March 7, 2015 in New Britain. At the age of 3, she was diagnosed with cancer followed by 3 relapses. Kendall was a strong, sweet, sassy and loving little girl who left her mark on the hearts of so many, especially her parents, Bryan and Danielle (Weitzke) Lord and her adoring brothers, Bryce and Ethan. She also leaves behind her paternal grandparents, Robert and Kimberly Lord of Southington, maternal great-grandmother Eleanor Levesque and her husband Frederick of Windsor, her uncle and aunts, Cody Lord, Amanda Olson, Elizabeth Kovar, Dana Ming, Megan Slipp and Jaime Ellis, her maternal great-grandmother Kate Weitzke of Meriden and numerous loving cousins and dear family friends. She was predeceased by her maternal great-grandfather, William Weitzke and paternal great-grandparents, Anita Lord and Robert Lord, Sr.
Kendall was a 2nd grade student at Hatton School in the SPACE program. She enjoyed going for car rides with her grandparents, going to Vermont and jumping on the trampoline. She will be remembered for her strong willed, sassy, loving and fearless personality.
Kendall’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center for their compassion and excellent care they provided during her time with them along with all of her teachers that cared so much for her at her time in Hatton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kendall’s memory may be made to the Connecticut Children's Foundation, Inc, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106 (www.connecticutchildrensfoundation.org).
