Kathryn L. Austin

Kathryn L. Austin, 70, of Meriden, CT, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Curtis Home in Meriden.   

Kathryn was born on February 2, 1953 in Southington, CT to the late Vernon and Hazel (Gregg) Austin.

She proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. Kathy lived her life with a strong faith and cherished her beloved cats.

Kathy is survived by her siblings: Russel Austin and his wife Margaret of East Hampton, Roberta Lasek and her husband Steven of Meriden and Karen Austin, both of Meriden, and Laura Murray and her husband Tim of AZ. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Steven Austin.

Kathy’s family would like to thank the entire staff at the Curtis Home in Meriden, especially Lauren, Anne and Peggy, for their kindness, compassion and the wonderful care they provided.
