Karen A. Michaud

Karen A. Michaud, 69, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 23, 2022. She was a loving sister and aunt, a devoted dog Mom and a wonderful friend to many.

Karen was born on November 1, 1952 in Hartford to the late Edmond and Elizabeth (Canders) Michaud and had been a longtime Plantsville resident.

Karen graduated from Teikyo Post University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She retired from Pratt & Whitney (Middletown) after 45 years of service. Karen enjoyed cooking, watching movies and traveling. She adored her 3 Chihuahuas, Taco, Bella and Dinky and was happiest spending time with her family.

Karen is survived by her sister, Doris Hochstrate and her husband Paul of Plantsville, 2 nieces, Tracy Levin and husband Josh and Debbie Zimmerman and husband Tom and 8 great-nieces and nephews; Austin, Mya, Gavin, Brayden, Jaxon, Ariya, Lyndsay, and Christian. She is also survived by her dear friends, Denise, John and Linda.  In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her brother, Edmond “Neil” Michaud.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Burial will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
