Julian H. Albrecht Jr., 85, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the HCC at New Britain General. He had been the loving husband of Delia (Plourde) Albrecht for 64 years.
Born January 11, 1930 in Southington to the late Julian H. Albrecht Sr. and Helen (Michonski) Albrecht, he had been a lifelong Southington resident.
Julian proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Olympia College and worked as a mechanical engineer. Julian was a founder of the Southington Midget Football League. He was a longtime member at the St. Aloysius Church.
In addition to his wife Delia, he is survived by four children: Julian H. Albrecht III of Bristol; Corrine Wilson and her husband James of FL; Robert Albrecht and his wife Carrie of GA; and Christine Jones and her husband Reeton of Plantsville; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother William Albrecht and his wife Jean of WA and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Regina Albrecht.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015 from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Burial with full military honors will follow in South End Cemetery, Southington.
