Judy Pucci

Judy Gladke Pucci,67, of Southington, passed away suddenly on August 18, 2014, as a result of a water- related incident in St. Thomas Virgin Islands. Judy was born on October 9, 1946 in Bristol, CT. She was a lifelong resident of Southington and attended Southington Public Schools, graduating in 1964. Later in her life, she attended Central Connecticut State University and in 1989, graduated with a B.S in Mathematics and a minor in Physics. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Stanley and Julia Gladke.

Judy leaves behind her husband Alfred Pucci of 45 years. She also leaves behind her cherished son and his wife Michael and Kim Pucci and 3 granddaughters; Hannah, Haley and Laurel Pucci, all of Danbury. In addition, she leaves behind her brothers and sisters-in law; Edward and Gerri Gladke and Joseph and Evelyn Gladke of Southington; a niece, Lisa Gladke and her husband Chris Rusack and a nephew, Mark Gladke.

She deeply loved all members of her family and they in turn deeply loved her. Judy was a devoted mother and grandmother and was very proud of her granddaughters. She will be sorely missed by her family. Prior to her marriage in 1969, Judy worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a secretary, where she met her husband Al. She also attended modeling school. After becoming a mother, she worked as a dental receptionist. Judy enjoyed entertainment performances and sporting events, especially the amateur plays her granddaughters performed in. She also enjoyed the companionship of her pet dog and cats. Her greatest asset was her patience and ability to listen to others. She was very likable and easily assimilated new friendships.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2014 from the Plantsville Funeral Home 975 South Main Street, Plantsville with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St. Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, South End Rd., Southington. Friends and family may call at the Plantsville Funeral Home on Thursday August 28, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
