Judith Talbert

Judith "Judy" C. Talbert, of Plantsville, CT, passed away surrounded by her family on June 8th, just days before her 71st birthday. We will remember her as an avid reader and a music fan, especially The Beatles. She loved the beach and was a terrific cook which was greatly inspired by her relationship with her grandmother.

 A 1974 graduate of Hartford Hospital Nursing School, many people will remember her as “Nurse Judy” who spent her career dedicated to pediatric nursing in Southington. After retirement, Judy would light up at any opportunity to hold a baby, especially her beloved grandsons.

Judy leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, Henry H. Talbert of Plantsville, CT, daughters Emilie T. Sullivan (William Sullivan) of Sturbridge, MA, and Megan L. Talbert (Stephen Haglund) of Auburn, MA. She is also survived by her brother, A. Robert Child, Jr. of Tiverton, RI, her sister Emily Bernier of Middletown, CT, and her three grandsons, Maxwell Talbert Sullivan, Quinlan Thomas Sullivan, and Jack Henry Sullivan. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Mumford Child and Arthur Robert Child and her sister-in-law, Kathleen Child.

 Private services will be held by the family.
